One World Action is looking for a new Director. We are looking for an experienced, creative and forward-thinking professional with excellent communication skills who can lead a dynamic international development organisation.
One World Action works directly with more than 40 local partners in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, to create opportunities for some of the poorest women and men to transform their own lives. Women’s rights are central to all our work. We provide funding, training and networking and enable marginalised people to challenge the unjust policies that make and keep people poor. With over 20 years’ expertise, we are now engaged in an ambitious programme to expand our funding base among institutions and individual supporters. We have excellent staff, a strong management team and a Board of supportive trustees.
The Director will have overall organisational responsibility for building One World Action’s profile and influence in the UK and internationally, be a personal advocate for our feminist approach to development, and ensure a secure funding base for the organisation. You will also provide leadership and direction to the staff.
You will be able to demonstrate proven experience and outstanding abilities in:
International development and understanding and experience of feminism
Leadership and strategic development
Planning
Fund raising
Communications and public relations
Senior management experience

We are looking for a Volunteer Finance and Office Assistant to provide vital support to the Finance Team at One World Action. You will be someone who enjoys being organised and who wants to gain or develop administrative and office skills in a charity environment. You will largely focus on database and admin work at an exciting time in the Finance Team so the role would provide you with valuable administrative and office experience.
